Return Policy:
Our catalog is filled with some of the most interesting, useful and well written liturature of our time. However, we understand that many people feel that they are taking a risk in purchasing independent books. We want you to feel completely comfortable buying books from AuthorsBookshop.com, and that is why we have a 100% no-questions-asked return policy. If you don't like the book you ordered, or the quality is not what you expect, just send it back to us for a full refund. We can even make it easy for you to return your book - just drop the book back in the packaging you received it in and mark it "return to sender." Please include a copy of the packing slip so that we can chargeback the cost of the book. If you want, you can include an explanation of why you didn't want to keep it - but you don't even have to do that.
Shipping Policy:
AuthorsBookshop.com strives to ship all orders within 1 business day of payment confirmation. We can not, however, guarantee that orders will be shipped within this time frame. Product availabilty, acts of nature, and unexpectedly high order volume are among the reasons that we may not be able to ship within 1 day. In any case, we will ship as soon as reasonably possible - we know you are excited to read your book, and how frustrating it can be if you have to wait.
Backorder Policy:
Because of the nature of our business, it may occasionaly happen that you would like to order more of a particular title than we have on hand. If this occurs, we will immediately ship the quantity that we have and place the remaining quantity on backorder. Your backorder will be shipped as soon as we recieve a restock from the author. If you would like to cancel the backorder, or your whole order for that matter, email us immediately (just reply to the email notification) to let us know.
Privacy Policy:
Though we do collect and store personal information from booksellers, we only collect that information which is necessary for conducting business.
As far as customer's information, we do not store any credit card numbers in our system at all. In fact, your credit card number goes straight to the processing company were it is processed electronically. No one at AuthorsBookshop.com ever even sees your number. Nor do we store your personal information beyond a reasonable period required to complete your order. This does mean that you will have to re-enter your information with each purchase. We are certain that you will be willing to accept this inconvenience for the sake of keeping your information secure.
AuthorsBookshop.com will not ever, under any circumstances, sell, distribute or release in any way your personal information to anyone other than the author or publisher of the book you purchase. We consider you a customer of the author, and therefore feel it is fair that they know who is purchasing their book. If you would rather they not know, you can simply indicate this by not selecting "Allow this publisher/author to contact me" when checking out.
AuthorsBookshop.com does make use of cookies when sellers log into their accounts. These cookies are stored on the users computer. This is done only to maintain the security of your account and information and is in no way used to track your habits, usage, or tendencies within our site. In addition, our shopping cart server uses cookies to keep track of your purchase information.
We also experiment from time to time with traffic tracking systems that may place a cookie in your browser. We know this may feel invasive, and for that we apologize. However, we intend to make your visit friendly and efficient. To do that, we are studying some aspects of visitor traffic.
